It’s one of a growing list of accolades the freshman congressman will take with him when he heads to the nation’s capital early in the new year.

While numerous community achievers were considered for the title of Person of the Year, Green — a Republican state senator, Army veteran, physician and businessman — rose to the top because he’s making history as the first congressman from Clarksville in 135 years.
