For the past 22 months, we’ve worked as hard as we absolutely can to be your voice in Congress, representing Tennessee’s 7th District.
We hit the ground running in our first term—my peers elected me President of the Republican Freshman Class. I ran for Congress to take our successful leadership in Tennessee to Congress, so I was excited to be able to lead the freshman class.
I’m proud to say that, in my time as your Congressman, I’ve introduced 24 bills,from holding China accountable to serving our veterans and helping our rural hospitals.
So we’re going to run a strong campaign over the next 20 days and not take anything for granted. We need your help.
Now, I’m asking you to send me back to Washington so we can build on a strong first term.
I was raised as the child of a hardworking veteran and pastor who was disabled due to bone cancer and a devout mother whose strong Christian values continue to anchor my worldview to this day.
I made the decision to run for office during my 25th class reunion at West Point. Seeing again the words on the statue of Gen. Douglas MacArthur, “Duty, honor, country” made me realize that I had a duty to fulfill.
