An American patriot, Mark has served our country and state honorably for his entire adult life.

As a friend, I have always found Mark to be an open and honest man who keeps the interest of others before his own. Dr. Green grew up in humble surroundings in Mississippi and brings the honesty, compassion and love of country he learned from his youth to the man he is today.

Mark applied to and was accepted to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, and after four years he graduated and went on to serve as an Army officer for 16 years. During his time in the military, a doctor saved Mark’s dad’s life and he became interested in medicine and attended medical school. After graduation he continued to serve his country as a flight surgeon with the 160th SOAR (Special Operations Aviation Regiment).

After leaving the Army, Mark took his love of business and emergency medicine to start a business running emergency departments. About six years ago, Mark felt a calling to serve the people of Tennessee in the TN Senate. He has won two terms at a member of the Tennessee State Senate demonstrating a high level of achievement for the people in this district. Dr. Green is an individual driven to serve others with an outstanding level of energy and integrity. He brings those same traits as he runs for the position of U.S. Congressman for the 7th Congressional District.

As a retired colonel, a retired university teacher and a resident of Clarksville for over 12 years I am proud to call Mark Green my friend and fully support him in his congressional run.

A resident of Clarksville, Steve Lomax is a retired Colonel with 29 years of active duty service and a retired professor from Austin Peay State University.
